Patricia Louise George, 85, of Altoona, IA, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Edencrest at Tuscany in Altoona.
Patricia was born March 17, 1937, in Martensdale, IA, daughter of John and Ethel (Bauer) Seymour.
She received her education in Martensdale where she graduated in 1955 and began working for Northwestern Bell.
On November 24, 1956 she was married to Patrick George Sr. at Churchville, IA. They made their home in the Des Moines and Altoona area where they owned and operated George Transit Line.
Patricia loved spending time with her family, preparing family meals especially at Christmas times.
She was preceded in death by a son Brian, daughter Susan, brother John Seymour Jr and sister Mary Ann Tomlinson.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Ss. John and Paul Catholic Church in Altoona with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the church with burial following at the Altoona Cemetery.
Memorials may be direct to the Hospice of the Midwest.
