Donald Delano Carter was 85 years old when he passed away on March 20, 2022. Donald was born in Fairfax, South Dakota on December 16, 1936, to Guy Franklin Carter, born July 9th, 1899, in Table Rock, Nebraska who passed away in 1973, and Frances Ilona Vavra, born 1895 in Malenovice, Moravia who passed away in 1985. Donald was the third youngest out of 13 siblings. He enlisted in the Navy at the age of 18. He has been stationed in Korea and throughout other countries and states. While in the Navy he attended and graduated from the Navy Electrician program and served as an electrician.

Donald moved to Omaha, Nebraska when he was in his early 20's. He met Coradella MaGee the love of his life and they got married on February 11, 1970. Cora passed away in 2008. Together they had three children. Their eldest son, Shawn Delano Carter was born on February 20, 1973, and passed away on October 3, 1994. Michael Daniel Carter, born on May 22, 1977, passed away on March 7, 2007. Michael left behind a wife, April Marie Carter, and four daughters, one son-in-law and two grandchildren: Sabrina Danielle (Shawn) Obradovich and their children, Nia and Kaiden; Rebekah Diane Carter; Elizabeth DeAnna; and Samantha Della Carter. Donald and Cora have one surviving child, a daughter, Francis Darnell (Japhet) Carter-Kaisi. They have four daughters: Abigail Don-Shawnna' Raumaker, Mariah Delaney Raumaker, Shalom D'Ellasante' Kaisi, and Elianna D'Ellaiya Kaisi.

Donald has many nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved and cared about during his life. Donald enjoyed being outdoors. Donald love to joke and he had a huge sense of humor. He was a great father and grandfather and he never shied away from fulling his duty when it comes to his family. He will be greatly missed by all of us, but we all know he couldn't wait to be reunited with the love of his life Cora in heaven to start their new journey of eternal life.
