Deanna was born on July 13, 1947, in Tulsa, OK to Roy and Eula (Wagoner) Swanson. She was a graduate of Beggs High School and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Beggs, OK. Deanna loved her classmates and enjoyed the high school reunions and the get together breakfasts later in life with them. Deanna gave a lot of her time to the Beggs Community. She dedicated over 30 years of service to putting flags on the graves at the Beggs Cemetery for Memorial Day. Deanna was also the First Woman Firefighter in Okmulgee County. She truly loved her service on the Fire Department. Deanna worked in the town of Beggs at Burchette Resale and later at the Dollar General Store in Beggs, OK.
Deanna met the love of her life Wendell Crook at Truman Kelly's store in Beggs, OK. They were married on July 15, 1967 and have celebrated 54 years of marriage together. They had 2 daughters Kelli and Kara. Deanna had many interests in life. She loved making floral arrangements. She also loved going camping and spending time around the campfire. She was an avid book reader. But what she loved most was her family and her grandbabies. The grandbabies held a dear sweet place in her heart. She loved spending time cooking for them. There was always a meal at her house anytime.
