Bill was a simple man who enjoyed smoking meat and feeding people and being a member of the Elks Lodge allowed him to do just that. He was proud of his Osage roots, which meant that he was a die-hard OSU fan and a lifetime member of the OSU Alumni Association. He was a banker for most of his life and worked as a loan officer at the First United Bank for 30 years before his retirement.
Preceding Bill in death are his parents William Hobart and Betty Jo, and his brother Lee Elliott.
