July 14, 1931 - March 18, 2022
Judith E. Anderson "slipped the surly bonds of earth" on March 18, 2022. She was born on July 14, 1931, in Baltimore, MD, to Calvert and Grace Wells. Judy was the middle child. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, and sister, Marian Anderson. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (David) Waters; a brother, Don Wells, as well as nieces and nephews. Judith was a Navy wife, mother, and member of Gonzalez United Methodist Church. Her church was a big part of her life. Judy was a member of her church choir for 47 years. She enjoyed raising her daughter, which was the second best thing that happened to her, the first knowing Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She was an accomplished seamstress and became an avid quilter after her daughter taught her how to quilt. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and had a arduous journey caring for him throughout his Alzheimer's illness. She saw many wonderful places in her travels and took great pleasure in going on cruises with her daughter. They were all blessed by her decision to join households in November 2017. She thought that it was wonderful spending that time under one roof with Kim and David. Visitation will be Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, 1000 South Highway 29, Cantonment. Service will be on Monday, March 28, at 12:00 PM at Faith Chapel North. Interment will be at 2:00 PM, at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gonzalez United Methodist Church or Covenant Care Hospice or Pensacola. The family would like to extend their thanks to the great care that Covenant Care and Home Instead provided.
