Michael Cleary Walker, age 72 years, passed away Sunday morning, March 13, 2022 at his residence following a short illness. He was born on March 10, 1950 in Augusta, Georgia, the son of the late Paul and Carlotta (Cleary) Walker. Mike was united in marriage to Lori Rogner on March 17, 2007. He was employed at Vassar Building Center and Woodburn for many years. Mike enjoyed going for walks and spending time with his dogs.
Surviving family include his wife, Lori; step-children, Philip Perez and Josue (Ashley) Perez; step-grandchildren, Shawn, Brayden, Cheyenne, Kellie, Rachel, Alivia and Jackson; great-granddaughter, Kassidy; sister, Kathy Huey; brother, Dennis Walker as well as many nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his brother, Ken Walker and step-son, Brian Perez.
A memorial service is planned for 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at the Penzien-Steele Funeral Home. The Rev. Scott Sherrill officiating. The family will greet visitors on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Private burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
