Mary L. (Bushman) Wagner, age 90, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Sheboygan Health Services.

Mary was born on May 18, 1931, to William and Crescence (Fessler) Bushman in the Town of Meeme. Mary graduated from Kiel High School with the Class of 1949. After high school, Mary graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Holy Family School of Nursing. Throughout her nursing career, she worked for various doctors, nursing facilities, and ended her career at St. Nicholas Hospital.

Along with several other parents, Mary helped start the Special Olympics in Sheboygan in the late 1960's. She also helped in the development of RCS in Sheboygan. Mary also volunteered much of her time with different groups at Ss. Cyril and Methodius and was a member of the church for many years.

After her retirement, Mary enjoyed traveling around the country and world with her husband and daughter, Suzanne. One of her other favorite things to do was spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her children, Paul (Maria Arena), Jeffery, William, Robert (Dawn), Jenny (Dennis Klunk); grandchildren, Rebecca, Ryan, and Ashley Wagner, Nathan (Paige Gerber) Komoroski, and Ethan (Sarah) Komoroski; great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Cooper Komoroski; and other relatives and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles A. Wagner who passed away in 2010; daughter, Suzanne Wagner; grandson, Andrew Komoroski; brother, Leland Bushman; parents; William and Crescence (Fessler) Bushman; and other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held for Mary at 6:00 PM on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Ballhorn Chapels. A public visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Mary's service will be livestreamed and viewable at a later date from her obituary page on www.ballhornchapels.com.

Per the CDC, masks are optional and social distancing will be encouraged for all in attendance.

Mary's committal will take place at a later date, next to her husband and daughter at Greendale Cemetery in Sheboygan, WI.

Mary's family would like to thank the staff at Sheboygan Health Services and St. Nicholas Hospice for their wonderful care and support.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Mary's name, and contributions will go to the Sheboygan Special Olympics and the Nu Dawn Club.
