Charles Matthew Brewer, age 17, of Princeton, KY, passed away Friday, March 18, 2022 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

Matt was born on May 5, 2004 in Marion, KY to his parents Barry and Starr Brewer. Matt entered this world quietly; but he never held a silent moment after. Matt had a passion for music and was very talented in percussion as well as guitar. Matt was a senior at Caldwell County High School where he was a member of the Caldwell County Band of Pride. He was the Drumline Captain for three years, participated in the Jazz Band and played electric guitar including the National Anthem at his final football game. Matt attended Union Grove Baptist Church but played music at multiple churches including most recently in the youth praise band at First Baptist Church. Matt was also known to frequent Donaldson Baptist Church, Sugar Creek Baptist Church, and First Baptist in Eddyville. In 2017 Matt made a profession of faith and was saved. Matt attended dual credit classes in Welding at the Caldwell Regional Career Center. He planned to complete his welding degree and enlist in the US Marine Corps. Matt loved his country and made it known through his patriotic style. Matt had a servant's heart and volunteered with the Band Boosters, Bright Life Farms and helped anyone that he knew needed it. Whether it be telling a funny story, carrying out a practical joke or playing a song for a friend who was having a bad day, Matt always took time to make everyone around him smile. Matt was a family oriented child who loved his mother, father and sister without limits. Matt also loved his best friends Cayden Hopwood and Abby Cowan as well as his girlfriend, Emmalee Amburgy. Matt had a sweet, confident, larger than life personality that will be greatly missed by family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Matt is survived by his sister, Savannah Renee Brewer and fiancé Donavon Brown of Princeton, KY; two brothers, Barry Douglas "BJ" Brewer and Anthony "Kyle" Brewer of Keithville, LA; maternal grandparents, Randall and Madonna Mullen of Evansville, Indiana; three nephews Kanyon, Hunter and Kylan; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Matt was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Melva Brewer.

Funeral services will be scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Caldwell County High School in the CAB Building with Bro. James Peters officiating. Burial will follow in Calvert Cemetery in Caldwell County.
