Linda Lou Clark, 79, of South Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 18, 2022.

She was born on July 17, 1942, in Alum Creek, to the late Leston and Garnet Elkins.

Linda was a member of Fairlawn Baptist Church in Dunbar. She loved her church family and helping with many church activities.

She was a homemaker, childcare worker, and took care of elderly in their homes. Linda loved the children (and they loved her) and her elderly patients.

Linda grew up in Alum Creek/Yawkey, and would often talk about her friends, family and growing up in Yawkey. She also had fond memories of living in Ashland/Catlettsburg, KY with her husband and four children. While living in Kentucky, Linda attended Highland Heights Baptist Church. She loved that church and the many friends she made there and would often return for their homecomings.

She never missed the news and loved watching the Price Is Right, Family Feud with Steve Harvey, and of course her "stories" mostly Days of Our Lives.

After being greeted in Heaven by her beloved family, Linda was also reunited with her best friend Carol Starcher, her cousin Buck Mooney, and other special friends, Melondy Holtsclaw, Carol Oyler, Joyce Short, Mary Caldwell, Eloise Robinette, and countless others.

Linda will be greatly missed by her family, neighbors, friends; Brenda Gillispie, Lou Ann Evans, Jane Mooney, Dorcella Barker, and many others; and her rescue dog, "Bud"dy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar "Bud" Clark; brother, Gene Elkins; and sister, Joyce Stanton.

Linda is survived by her sons, Delmar "Lee" Clark of South Charleston, David Clark of South Charleston, and Jody Clark and wife Ann of Charleston; daughter, Tammy Morris and husband Roland of Culloden; and her grandchildren, Allison Jordan, Sarah Clark, Anthony Clark, Kaitlyn Clark.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Joe Ballard officiating. Burial will be in East Ashland Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens, Ashland, KY, at 1:30 p.m.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
