Jim attended Pryor High School before marrying the love of his life, Sandy Linton, on November 16th, 1963. The two raised their family and lived in Bixby, Oklahoma for 52 years. Jim worked at Canteen Corporation for 40 years, from which he retired in 1999. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, cooking, and gardening, but more than anything he devoted his life to his family. He was kind, gentle, selfless, humble, and commonly referred to as "papa." He will be deeply missed by the many people whose lives he impacted.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents; Joel and Lou Holt, brother; Bob "Sonny" Holt, brother-in-laws; Lloyd Armstrong and Cleon Linton, and several other loved ones and friends.
Jim is survived by his wife of 58 years; Sandy Holt of Bixby, daughter; Tammy Roper of Broken Arrow, son; Brett Holt of Honolulu, Hawaii, grandchildren; Whitney and Michael Wasson of Bixby, Avery Roper of Tulsa, and Grant Holt of Broken Arrow, sister; Betty Armstrong of Bixby, daughter-in-law; Christy Holt of Broken Arrow, in-laws; Curtis and Karen Linton of Sperry and Bob and Gwenda Webster of Tulsa, as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and longtime friends.
