She is survived by her daughters, Jacqie Abbott and Shari Abbott, and son-in-law Bill Emilius; granddaughter Kara Waldbeser of Milford, Indiana; grandsons Benji Waldbeser of Syracuse, Indiana, and Joseph Conner Abbott of Goshen, Indiana; great-granddaughter Katlyn Waldbeser of Warsaw, Indiana; and her sister, Betty Chaffe of Elkhart, Indiana.
Jean is preceded in death by her husband Roger Abbott, son Phillip Abbott, sister Marlyn Eggleston and her brother Albert (Fred) DeHoff.
On March 31, 2022 a celebration of life will be held in Siesta Key, Florida. A second celebration of life will be held in Elkhart, Indiana, at a later date.
Jean worked for 40 years at CTS in Elkhart. Three weeks after she and Roger retired and moved to Florida, they went to work for Walmart where she continued to work until 2018. Jean lived for family and extended family, many of whom called her Mom, Grandma and Aunt. She never left a heart untouched.
