James was born February 7, 1937 in Dudley, PA, son of the late James and Martha Carmack Ross. He was a veteran of the US Army. Jim worked as an owner/operator truck driver until his retirement in 2017. He enjoyed working on his trucks and tinkering with whatever needed repaired. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved everything outdoors, especially camping with his wife.
James leaves his wife of 58 years, Jane Ross; two sons, James C. Ross and William (Leighann) Ross both of East Palestine; three grandchildren, Erica, Derek and Ryan; two great grandchildren, Paxton and Maverick as well as a brother, Norman Ross and four sisters, Madeline Miller, Martha "Sis" Wedge, Ruth Ross and Ellen Miller.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home. A private burial will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.
