Agnes was born in Russia to Frantisek "Frank" and Helena Czastek Sisr. She was the first of 3 children, Joseph and Frank followed. Agnes was a beautiful young woman. The family came to the United States and January 2, 1894, Agnes married Anton Basta in Butte, Boyd Co., Nebraska.

Anton and Agnes raised a family of six children. Joseph (1894-1973), Olga (1896-?) who married Mr. Aiken, Edward (1899-1944), Helene (1902-1969), Mary (1905-1994), and John A (1918-?).

In the 1900 Census, Anton, Agnes, and their 3 children were living in Lynch, Nebraska and Anton was a shoemaker. By 1910 the family, now consisting of 5 children was still in Lynch and Anton owned his own shoe shop. 1920 and 1930 find them in Niobrara, still in the shoe business and Edward is working in the store also, but by 1930 only John, age 12 years, is still at home. Anton still in the shoe business.

In 1940, Anton age 75 and Agnes age 67 rely on 22 year old John's income as a bank teller. November 11, 1945 John married my maternal relative, Gertrude Adeline Peters.
A move to Huntington Park, California occurred in 1947, and December 17, 1950 Anton dies. October 25, 1954 Agnes joined her husband.

Anyone with further information, please contact me. Both Anton's and Agnes' death certificates state they were to be cremated, and buried in the "Inglewood Crematory."
Thus I assume they are interred here in the mausoleum.
*Her maiden name was Sisr, often spelled Siser
