He was born on July 27, 1949, in Hickman County to the late Roy Herman and Lilly Ester Potts Butterworth. Raymond had worked in several different factories in the Dickson area over the years. He really enjoyed fishing and loved his grandbabies. He also made it a point to talk to his son every day.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Roy Hudgins, Jr. and Gerald Hudgins; and his sister: Mildred Jean Hudgins.
Survivors include his son: David Hudgins; his daughter: Jessica Haley (Thomas); his brother: James Hudgins; and his two grandchildren: Lily and Jackson Haley.
Mr. Hudgins wishes were for cremation, and the family may hold a memorial service at a later date.
