Sammy J. Wilson

Blue Rock - Sammy J. Wilson, 67, of Blue Rock, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2022, while at Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville.

Sammy was born in Zanesville on November 3, 1954. He is the son of the late Herman S. and Elizabeth (Roberts) Wilson.

Sammy was a man of few words, and had a tremendous love of animals. He loved to hunt and spend time outside, but he really loved to help out his friends and family.

Sammy is survived by his brother, Richard "Dick" Wilson; his sister-in-law's, Wanda Wilson and Norma Wilson; his cousin, Pat Wakeley; his nieces and nephews, Cheryl, Doug, Duane, Donna Jean, Darren, Dirk, Lori, Abby, Robert, Jenny, and Stacy; and several cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, Sammy is preceded in death by his brothers, Carl Wilson and Donald Wilson; his niece, Debra Rae; and his sister-in-law, Nancy.

The family would like to extend an extra special thank you to the all of the nurses, staff, and friends of Sammy at Highland Oaks Health Center.

Visitations will be from 11 am to 1 pm on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be held immediately following visitations at 1 pm. Pastor Lisa Jenkins will officiate the service.

Sammy will be laid to rest next to his parents in Stovertown Cemetery at a later date.
