Patricia was born in Newark and has lived in Maplewood for 70 years. She worked as a Clerk for the Township Of Maplewood for over 20 years before retiring in 2007.

Patricia, Pat, as her friends called her was an unforgettable woman, full of spunk, kindness, a little sass, she was funny, strong and full of an unmeasurable amount of love for her family. Being a PTA mom, a sports mom, a constant cheerleader, a babysitter, and the biggest supporter for her family were some of her favorite pastimes. An avid "shopper" and deal finder….if it was on sale, she knew and she'd buy it ….she was always spoiling her children, her grandchildren and even their friends, generous to a fault. She was an active member of the South Orange Elks Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She loved her coffee, her Coca-Cola and ice cream, and she was an amazing cook who was always willing to share or if it was her secret recipe, she'd just cook it for you.

She was predeceased by her brother, Edward Toner Jr. Pat is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, W. Michael Bishop, Daughters Susan Gaeb (Joseph), Sherrill Baron (Paul) and Tricia Bishop (Angelo) grandchildren Kyle, Megan, Brady, Asher, Owen and Grace and her sister Terry Comiskey.
