James E Beadle, 86, Passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022. Jim was born on August 9, 1935, in Augusta, Michigan, the son of Lewella and James Lindemuth (Stepfather). On February 7, 1959, Jim married Jacqueline (Jackie) Buck.

Jim was a lifelong resident of the Augusta area. Jim attended Galesburg-Augusta High School and graduated in 1954. After high school Jim enlisted in the U.S. Army and served three years (1955-1958). He also attended Western Michigan University and graduated in 1965. Jim was employed by the Upjohn Company for 33 years and retired in 1992. For his exemplary work Jim was awarded the William E Upjohn Award in 1975.

He was a member of the Galesburg-Augusta school board for fourteen years. Jim was very active in supporting Galesburg-Augusta sports, and was elected into the Galesburg-Augusta Sports Hall of Fame. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandchildren and grand dogs.

Jim is survived by his wife, Jackie. Also surviving is one son Steven (Ginger Foster) Beadle of Portage, MI; two daughters, Lori (Ottis) Bethran of Humble, TX and Lisa Harper of Mattawan, MI; ten grandchildren and several grand dogs. Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Lewella and stepfather, James Lindemuth, father-in-law, Virgil Buck and son-in-law, Jeff Harper Jr.

Internment with full military honors will follow at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI.
