Marjorie Elodine Hogue, 94, daughter of Maxine and Dewey Harper, passed away on March 16, 2022. Most of her life was spent in Akron, OH. Her favorite occupations were being the neighborhood AVON lady and working at St Thomas Hospital. Her parents, 2 brothers, a sister and 3 grandchildren preceded her in death.

Surviving family members omitted per FAG guidelines.

Elodine loved music and could play guitar, piano and accordion and sing. She was an avid gardener and won the Akron Beautification award for her flowers more than once. She was never happier than when she was with her children and grandchildren especially if it involved ice cream. Elodine never met a stranger and her humorous personality won her many friends.

We would like to thank the staff of The Village of St. Edward at Green Memory Care for taking such good care of our mother, keeping her comfortable, engaged and moving until the end. We appreciated your professional and loving approach. Also special thanks to Crossroads Hospice.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 4:30 pm at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Ave, Barberton. Family will receive friends from the 3-4:30 pm prior to the service. Interment will be at Lockwood Cemetery in Akron.

Memorials may be made to Haven of Rest, The Village of St. Edward at Green or Crossroads Hospice
