Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Ernest and Rose (Nozny) Hamlin.
He proudly served his country in the Marine Corp from 1952-1955.
Robert was employed until retirement as a dock worker for Eazor Express in Albany.
Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing
Bob will be remembered for his big personality and will be remembered by most because of it. He loved and adored all his grandchildren. Breanna and Mya will always hold a special place in his heart.
He is survived by his loving wife Marguerite Nichols Burns, seven loving children-Marguerite Paludi (Ronald), Ellen Norton (Stanley), Alice Capper (Ian), Suzanne Heilbron, Robert Burns (Christine), David Burns (Andrea) and Mark Burns. Bob is also survived by 16 loving grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Interment with military honors for Bob will be at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
