William K. "Bill" Wells, age 76 of Hartford City, IN, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Millers Merry Manor in Hartford City, IN.
Born in Elwood, IN on February 16, 1946 to Robert and Pauline (Harbit) Wells, Bill married Charlotte (Rousch) Wells on July 27, 1972 and they shared nearly 50 years of marriage together.
Bill graduated from Wendell L. Willkie High School in 1964 and proudly served his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam. Bill retired in 2001 from RCA in Marion. He enjoyed attending swap meets, restoring 1940 vintage cars, and reconditioning automobile instrument gauges. He also enjoyed fishing and yard work. Bill never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone. Most of all he loved spending time with family. Bill will be sadly missed by all.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Wells of Hartford City; daughter, Mona Jean Snider of Gaston, IN; 2 grandchildren, Charlotte Ann Fridley and Michael J Miller; several great and great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Debbie Patton of Anderson, IN and Helen Arlene Mitroff of FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Deborah K. Turner and Vicki Jo Miller; and his brother, Bob Wells.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street in Elwood. A funeral service celebrating Bill's life will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday with Pastor Nate Warren officiating. Burial will follow in Tomlinson Cemetery near Muncie, IN with military graveside service conducted by the US Navy.
