Wilmington - Barbara L. Wilkins age 80 of Wilmington, DE departed this life on March 15, 2022. Barbara the daughter of the late Beatrice Patton Hills and Richard Howard Brown was born on February 13, 1942, in Wilmington, DE.
She attended Douglass Elementary (#21), Bancroft Middle and Howard High School. She worked for 39 years at the Memorial, Christiana and Wilmington Hospitals as a Supervisor, retiring in 2004.
Barbara loved helping people and was a volunteer for Adopt-A-Family, Fish of Northern DE, Children and Families First (Arc), and the F.A.I.T.H Center. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Barbara was predeceased by her mother Beatrice P. Hills in 1997, her daughter Michelle L. White-Brown in 2003, her sister Karen L. Patton in 2001, her daughter Carol L. White in 2014, and her sister Sherry Patton in 2016.
Survivors include sons Mark C. White, I and Rodney J. Wilkins, daughter-in-law Shane B. White and three grandchildren, Cameron White Mills, Hailey L. Brown and Mark C. White II.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022, from 10 am to 11 am at House of Wright, 208 E. 35th St., Wilmington, DE. Celebration of life will immediately follow the viewing. Interment will be held at Riverview Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.
