Anna Consolina Iarossi Greco peacefully entered heaven on March 14th, 2022.
She was born on September 29, 1929, in Wheeling, WV, to mother, Domenica (Riga) Iarossi and father, Sante Iarossi of Weirton, WV.
A brilliant woman, Anna graduated Valedictorian of her class, from Weir High School. Foregoing a four-year scholarship to WVU, she married the love of her life, "Frankie" (Frank Louis) Greco in St. Paul's Catholic Church, on June 14th, 1947.
A pillar of strength, generosity, and virtue throughout her entire life, she was known to all, for her unfaltering generosity, kindness, and love of her five children, family, and all others. As she once said, her door was always opened to every "saint or sinner" who might have needed a friend, a hug for strength, or a meal. No holiday was ever spent without a chair at our table for whoever might be in need. She was a deeply religious person who believed in the power of God. Her faith was her rock and it never let her down.
In 1968, she was the owner of GRECO HAIRFASHIONS, hosting seminars for top International Hair Stylists of the time.
Known for her organizational skills, she was one of the founding members of the Four Seasons Social Club in Weirton. Many enjoyed her activity tours to Las Vegas and other places.
Anna was proceeded in death by her loving husband, Frank, of 53 years, a daughter, Dr. Francine Greco-Kirchner of Florida on Sept. 12, 2021, and her only brother, Joseph Iarossi.
She leaves behind, with loving memories to cherish, her children, Peppi Greco of South Carolina; Sam Paul (Christine) of Colliers; Richard (Kristie) Greco of Florida; Ronald (Iris Melicio), her loving caretaker with whom she resided, of North Carolina; her only grandson, John Stephen Krena, Jr (Elizabeth and children) of South Carolina; son-in-law Bernie Kirchner and his daughters; nieces, JoAnn Burnetta (Pelliccione),and Christine Monfred (Shroads) and children of Weirton, and Kathy Shultz (Pelliccione) and son, of Wheeling; and nephew, Andrew (Della) Iarossi.
Anna's wish to be cremated was honored.
Memorial arrangements will be held at the convenience of her family.
