SAN DIEGO -- Mary Frances Ayres made her transition on September 13, 2013 in San Diego. She was born in Parma, Idaho on December 19, 1934. A resident of San Diego for fifty-five years, Mary graduated from the University of Utah with a major in Education. For over thirty two years, she was an Elementary School teacher in the San Diego Unified School District. She married Robert S. Ayres on August 18, 1962. Later, she got her Master's Degree in Special Education from the University of San Diego. The majority of her teaching experience was with the 'Learning Disabled' children, which she loved. Mary loved to knit; was an avid reader; and loved to travel. In 1990, she had a stroke which affected her left side. As a result, Mary was forced to leave teaching. She is survived by her husband and brothers Robert T. Newell and Michael W. Harrison. Services will be held at Unity San Diego on October 29, 2013. IN MEMORIAM
