Sarah Nell Morris Kelley was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama, August 9, 1944. She is the youngest of three siblings born to Henry Morris and Sarah Donley Morris.
She passed on March 13, 2022, with her family at her side.
She attended Trenholm High School class of 1962 and graduated from Alabama A&M University where she earned her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood.
Sarah retired after 30 years of dedicated service from Tuscumbia Police Department in 2015.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Willie Mae and her brother, William Henry.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving, caring and devoted soulmate: A. C. "Tet" Young of Tuscumbia, AL; four children: Ramon McCray of Atlanta, GA, Cherita McCray Pugh (Greg) of Lithia, GA, Jonathan McCray of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Joycelyn Smith (Kenny) of Florence, AL; brother: Curtis (Vivian) Morris of Germantown, TN; brothers-in-law, Cleveland Young (Carol), Huntsville, AL and Richard J. Bingham; sisters-in-law: Earnestelle Brannon, and Patricia Hamilton, both of Russellville, AL; she also leaves 11 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; also she leaves, one aunt, Emma Donley Abernathy of Tuscumbia, AL, one uncle: Fletcher Scott of Russellville, AL; close cousins: Elsie Graves of Savannah, GA and Paula Malone of Tuscaloosa, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She will always be remembered for being a loving, caring, and dedicated person to her family and friends.
