Another of Waterloo's aged and respected citizens passed away on Thursday in the person of Catherine Schaefer, beloved wife of Mr. Louis Selp in her 71st year.
There survive a sorrowing husband one son and seven daughters, namely Jacob Belp. Catherine (Mrs. Jacob Herber), Matilda (Mrs. Henry C. Koch), Lucinda (Mrs. Wm. Koch), Emma (Mrs. John Haus), all of Waterloo. Sarah (Mrs. Henry Wahl) and Latonia (Mrs. Anton Heimpel), of Linwood. Also 17 grandchildren. One son Willam died two years ago.
FUNERAL LARGELY ATTENDED.
The funeral of the late Mrs. Louis Seip took place on Monday afternoon from the residence King St, and was largely attended by friends and relatives. A short service was held at the house after which interment was made in Mount Hope cemetery. A memorial service was held at the house after which interment Was made in Mount Hope Cemetery. A memorial service was conducted in ae St. John's Lutheran Church where Rev. Mr. Bockelman preached an impressive sertion.
