She is survived by granddaughter Samantha Mason and great-grandson Sterling Mason of Moore, Oklahoma and her brother Steven Hayes of Luella, TX.

She was preceded in death by both of her children, Rhonda Sue and Rodney Samuel Johnson, her younger sister Brenda Hayes and brother James "Jimmy" Hayes, all of whom she loved very much.

Peggy joined Faith Church, formerly the First Pentecostal Church of Sherman, as a young adult where she remained an active member for over 50 years. Peggy retired from Texas Instruments in the early 1990's after many years of service.

She was full of faith and love for her church and family. She believed everyone deserves a second chance and helped others down on their luck when able to. Her favorite saying was "It's a great life, if you don't weaken." While her mind and body weakened the last few years, her love for Jesus kept her strong.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, March 19th, 2022 at 2:00PM at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel, 619 N. Travis St, Sherman, TX 75090. Pastor Ryan Cernero, of Faith Church, will officiate,

The family will receive friends 1pm- 2pm, preceding the funeral service. Graveside service to follow, at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, where Peggy will be laid to rest beside both her children.
