Boyd Ray Adams Sr., 80 years old, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 16, 2022. He entered this world on November 2, 1941, born to Ellen Michelli Adams and Claude Adams, Jr., in Baton Rouge, LA. Boyd honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church. He coached little league and senior league baseball at Baker Little League. He was an avid LSU fan. His family was his pride and joy, from his children and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Boyd is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Doris Elaine Adams; sons, Boyd Ray Adams, Jr. and wife, Christi, Blane Lee Adams and wife, Jami, and Brad David Adams and wife, Tina; grandchildren, Cory Adams and fiancé, Meagan, Cole Adams and wife, Michlynn, Ashley Adams, Haleigh Moses and husband, Brent, Amanda Adams and fiancé, Kyle, Alyssa Adams, and Jacob Paul Adams; great-grandchildren, Hampton Cole Adams, Jr., and Charles Michael Adams; brother, Claude Adams, III and wife, Mary; sister, Denise Jeansonne and husband, David; special aunt, Dora Michelli; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Boyd is preceded in death by his father, Claude Adams, Jr.; and mother, Ellen Adams.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Friday, February 18, 2022, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 12:00 PM, officiated by Deacon Shelley Joseph. The graveside service with military honors will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
