She was born November 25, 1915 in Lorain and had lived in Vermilion since 1950.
She worked at South Shore Packing, Vermilion for 28 years retiring in 1978. She enjoyed reading mysteries and westerns..
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Cooper of Vermilion; son, Ralph Tremain, Jr. of Vermilion; 3 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and brothers, Carl Johannsen of Gainesville, FL, and Jack Johannsen of Vermilion.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Ralph N. Tremain, Sr. in 1988; parents, Carl G. and Myrtle (nee Penrod) Johannsen; a brother George Johannsen; and sisters, Erma, Anne, Jenny and Florence.
There is no visitation. Private family services will be held. Arrangements were entrusted to Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
