G. W. Coffelt

George Willard Coffelt, son of Rachel and Elijah Coffelt, was born at Terre Haute, Ind., Oct. 3, 1866, and departed this life at Atchison, Kan., Aug. 31, 1930, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edith Harris. He was 63 years, 10 months and 28 days old.

Me was married to Margaret Dickinson, March 1, 1893. To this union were born four children.

Those living are Edith Harris of Atchison, Kan., Mrs. Mary Bradford of Chariton, Iowa, and Lawrence Coffelt of Elmira, Mo. One some died in infancy. He joined the Christian church at Dean, Iowa, in the year 1893. He has lived a faithful member, he was a strong believer and when he couldn't read his bible he had some of his family read it for him.

He leaves to mourn his departure his kind and faithful wife, two daughters, one son. One sister, Mrs. F. W. Goben of Creston, Iowa, two brothers, Robert of Idaho, and William of Des Moines, and nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

His wife, two children and his only sister were at his bedside. A daughter, May Bradford was unable to be present.

Funeral was conducted at Stanton funeral home Sept. 1, in charge of Rev. Frank Johnson of Christian church. Burial took place at Oak Hill cemetery at Atchison, Kan.
