She was born January 30, 1938 in Ripley, the daughter of the late Mildred (Kay) Cunningham. In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her children, Darlene and Larry; sister, Mary Keefer; brothers, Johnny, Sonny and Daniel and a great grandchild, Brooklyn Rogers.
Betty was a devoted homemaker and faithful member of the Faith Fellowship Church. She enjoyed camping, gardening, canning, quilting, sewing and most of all, taking care of her family.
Survivors includer her husband of 59 years, Rossie D. Parsons; sons, Allen Parsons (Patricia) of Fairplain, John Paul Parsons (Ruth) of Ripley and Gary Parsons (Carla) of Goldtown; daughters, Charolette Campbell (Tom) of Cottageville, Marlene Herdman of Ripley and Songia Sharp (Junior) of Georgetown, GA; 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
She is also survived by brothers, David Cunningham (Linda) of Ravenswood, Joe Cunningham (Eilene) of Ripley, Jerry Cunningham (Belinda) in Florida, Terry Cunningham and Timothy Cunningham (Crystal) both of Ripley; sisters, Sue Fields (Filbert) of Statts Mills and Kay Greathouse (Kelvin) of Ripley; sisters-in-law, Leola Cunningham and Dotty Cunningham both of Ripley.
Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV with Pastor Joey Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
