Alamander's sister, Eva Tabor was Carl's mother. Eva died when Carl was 3 so Alamander's mother raised Carl. Alamander bought Carl's headstone and had it made as a double headstone for himself also.
Alamander Adkins
Born: August 10, 1928, Passed away; Monday, September 22 2008 at the age of Eighty years, one month and Twelve days old. He was the son of the late Jim and Mary "Egnor" Adkins and was a Retired Farmer.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers; Columbus Adkins, Freddie Adkins, Liggie Adkins and Charley Adkins, three sisters; Gracy Brumfield, Maggie Burton and Eva Tabor.
He is survived by one sister; Pansy Adkins and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 P.M., Friday, September 26, 2008 at Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin, Wv. with the Rev. Farm Nelson and Rev Mylo Cummings officiating. Interment will follow at the Goldsbury Cemeterey, Sias, W.V..
