Daddy was known for his kindness to people who were "down and out". In the days before welfare many people had food because of him. Never wanted to be recognized for his charity. Loved the outdoors and spent his life buying and cutting timber and pulpwood. Well known for his witticisms and had a saying for everything. Longtime Trustee and Treasurer of Live Oak United Methodist Church which his Grandfather helped found and twenty year member of White Oak School Board of Education. Devoted husband,father and grandfather who loved all people regardless of their race,color or income. He especially loved small children. Died quietly in his sleep of heart disease. Will always be loved and missed by all who knew him.
