Jeff Fowler, 70, the oldest sibling of 7 (pick of the litter), passed away on March 14, 2022.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Bonnie Fowler; his sister, Diana Hebert and father-in-law, Gerhard Schaller.

Survivors include the love of his life, Kathrin "Charlie" Schaller Fowler; siblings, Mary Schell (Butch), Jody Barrios (Dennis), Robin Turk (Gary), Rebecca Mabry, Jim Fowler (Tina), and Ryan Fowler; mother-in-law, Heidi Wagner; step-father-in-law, Theo Wagner and sister-in-law, Ilka Schaller (Dzafer Salkec), along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jeff loved to cook and eat the perfect steak (medium rare "plus"), travel with his beloved Charlie and played with his canine companion, Baron.

A certified handyman, he could fix anything. As a teen, he built his own radio, learned carpentry in school and built lots of furniture. He was great at home improvements, inspired by his trips to Germany.

Meeting his wife of 26 years at Donna's Office Lounge in 1996, he jumped into marriage (knowing she needed a green card) and she proved it was worth it. They traveled to Germany and all over Europe.

Retired from Geg's Auto Repair after 35 years, he would stop by frequently to talk to his buddy Mark, have lunch, and diagnose car problems.

He loved to hang out at Calahan's Bar where his favorite bar tenders, Lisa and Pam, would provide him with much needed therapy and a stiff drink.

Jeff never met a stranger and was always willing to help others. He will be sadly missed.

A memorial visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 9am to 11am. A memorial eulogy will follow.
