Kirk Alan Campbell died unexpectedly at his home Friday, February 4, 2022. He was born September 16, 1963, in Kalamazoo, MI son of Robert and Shirley (Wilkins) Campbell and had been a lifelong area resident.

Kirk, also known by some as Fox, attended Comstock Public Schools. After high school he was employed with Campbell Fence, where he worked up until his passing, with his childhood best friend, Danny Lowe. Kirk was a very simple and humble man who didn't need much to make him happy. As long as he had his family and friends, he was content. Kirk loved all Detroit sports, but Notre Dame had his heart. He was a bowler in the community and enjoyed bowling in weekly leagues and the occasional bowling tournaments. He loved watching old movies and had quite the DVD collection. His favorite thing was spending time and making memories with his kids, his grandchildren, and his best friend Danny. He was loved by everyone that ever met him. Kirk was a son, a brother, a father, an uncle, a friend and so much more. But his favorite title of all was Papa.

Kirk was preceded in death by his father, Robert and Stepfather, Boyd. Surviving are his children, Bradley Campbell, Allison (Jason) Miner, and Heather Cekander-Campbell; eight grandchildren; mother, Shirley Slater; siblings, Scott (Deon) Campbell, Vern (Patricia) Campbell, and Joy (Scott) Dolhay; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 PM Saturday afternoon, March 12, 2022, at Spring Valley Church, 5240 Mt. Olivet Road, Kalamazoo, Michigan. Arrangements entrusted to Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 622 S. Burdick St, Kalamazoo MI 49007.
