Mark E. Shumate, 82 of Wayside, passed away Saturday, January 05, 2008, at Summers County ARH, Hinton, WV. Born September 27, 1925 at Bargers Springs, WV., he was the son of the late Luther C. and Isleta McDaniel Shumate. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Lillian Shumate. Mr. Shumate was a farmer and truck driver, and was active in church. Survivors include two sisters; Glenna Shumate and Gladys McClung and her husband Dan, all of Wayside, WV. Graveside services and burial will be 1:00 P.M. Monday January 7, 2008 at the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Red Sulphur Springs, WV., with Rev. Sam Groves officiating. Friends may call from 11:30 A.M until 12:30 P.M. Monday, prior to the graveside services at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, Peterstown, WV.
