WW II veteran with the rank of CPL and as in the 5th Fighter Command.
Married Gertrude Irene Walter in Fresno, CA Oct.10, 1943.
Moved to a farm north of Gary, SD as a young boy. Attended rural schools. Baptized at Balaton, MN, Confirmed at 1st Ev. Lutheran at Gary, SD. After marriage they farmed near Clear Lake for 1 year then they farmed north of Canby from 1947-1985. The moved into Gary 12/02/85. Member of 1st Ev. Lutheran where he served a treasurer, member of Gary Legion and Canby V.F.W. served on rural school board.

Survived by wife Gertrude, son Roger, son Dennis and daughter Donna. And by three brothers: Walter, Erwin and Arnold.
