David Arthur Rougeot, 83, of Enfield and formerly Torrington, CT, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 14, 2019 surrounded by his family. The son of the late Maynard and Louise (Fluckiger) Rougeot, he was born on September 17, 1936 in Hartford.

He leaves behind his wife Alma Serbek Rougeot; a daughter Renee Pease and her Husband David of Glastonbury, CT; a son David Rougeot and his wife Lisa of Enfield, CT; a daughter Denise Gidopoulos and her late husband Christopher of Holliston, MA; and his seven beloved grandchildren Amelia and Eric Pease, Stephen, Emily, and Sarah Rougeot, Lily and Jane Gidopoulos. He is also survived by his sister Sharon Foster and brother Wayne Rougeot and serveral nieces and nephews.

He was raised in Torrington where he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed working with his hands. David served in the Reserves and National Guard and was activated for the Berlin Mobilization. He worked as a welder for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in Southington and East Hartford for 35 years. After he retired he filled his days with family and friends, helping with household projects; babysitting his grandkids; attending school functions and sporting events; and driving across the United States with Alma. He also enjoyed his weekly breakfasts and lunches with his buddies.
