Eddie received his wings on Sunday, January 16, 2022.
Eddie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in 1966 at King David Baptist Church under the late Reverend Herbert Gordon Sr.
Eddie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a beautiful person inside and out. He had a heart of gold and whatever he could do for others, he did it. He will be truly missed.
Eddie is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mary Ann Brown; four children, Eddie Brown Jr. (Anitra), Raynelle Brown, Lynell Brown, Evante' Brown-Isom (Cameron); sister, Carolyn Brown of McKinney, TX; three grandchildren, Tariot Snowden, Taylor Snowden, and Marlee Brown; three sister-in-laws, Cathy Gaines (Durwin), JoAnn Jones (Gregory), Marvis Batiste; two brother-in-laws, Calvin Batiste (Denesia), Edward Batiste Jr.; best friends, Carlton Derbigny, Jack Hansley and Walter Williams; god-son, Wesley Anderson III; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Leroy Brown Sr. and Mary Lee Brown; grandmothers, Laura H. Wilson, and Martha Anderson; paternal grandparents, Adam Brown, Sr. and Leona Hill-Brown; brother, Leroy Brown, Jr.; sister, Olga Mae Brown James.
Services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Greater Golden Grove Baptist Church, 127 S. Mulberry St., Gramercy, LA 70052. Reverend Ulysses Jarrow, Jr.- Pastor; officiated by Reverend Ferdinand Wallace, Jr., of King David Baptist Church, Lutcher, LA. Viewing will be held at 9 am. until service time. Visitation will be held Friday, January 21, 2022, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Bardell's Mortuary 3856 LA-44, Mt. Airy, LA 70076.
