Brandon Morgan, age 14, of Abilene and formerly of Hamlin, died Wednesday, March 16, 2022. Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Central Baptist Church, 613 N. Central Avenue, Hamlin, with Brandon's great-grandmother, Rev. Jeanetta Josey, pastor of Coleman Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Cremation arrangements made with Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.

Rodney Brandon Reece Morgan was born April 18, 2007, in Abilene to Rodney Eugene Morgan and Jennifer Green Morgan. He was known as Brandon to his family but many of his school friends knew him as Rodney. He attended school in both Hamlin and Abilene and was currently attending A.T.E.M.S. High School in Abilene. He enjoyed weight lifting, video games, music and movies. He loved working at the Expo Center at the concession stand, where his sister also worked. He was looking forward to a new baby sister in May and was excited to be her big brother.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Russell Green, Barbara Collins, J. D. Josey, Jr., Alfred and Merline Griffin and an uncle, Thomas Morgan.

He is survived by his mother, Jennifer Morgan and Cody Hodge of Abilene; his father, Rodney Eugene Morgan of Hamlin; one sister, Marilyn Morgan of Abilene and his soon-to-be born sister Alayna Hodge; one brother, Jesse James Morgan of Abilene; his grandmother, Joan Josey of Abilene and great-grandmother, Rev. Jeanetta Josey of Coleman; aunts Norella LaSalle of Abilene , Gwyn Quareles of Abilene, Audrey McClure of Weatherford, Tammy Clawson of Hamlin, Melissa Vinson of Clyde and their families; his girlfriend, Kinley Fenwick of Abilene and close friends, Kevin Woody, Keeten Reeves, Jayden Hurtado, Blaise Gonzilas, Mya Munoz and Jeanette Thomas; several great aunts and uncles, cousins and other extended family.

Brandon was loved by his family and friends and they deeply mourn his loss.
