Harry R. Ackley, Jr. (Randy), age 43 of Stratford, formerly of Fairfield, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015. Born in Bridgeport, Randy had been a lifelong area resident. He was a 1990 graduate of Fairfield High School where he played on the golf team. Randy began his career in the golf profession working as a caddy at Brooklawn Country Club, and worked at numerous other clubs including New Haven, Sleepy Hollow and Oronoque Country Clubs. He also loved cooking and delighted in creating and serving extraordinary meals for his family. Randy played Pop Warner Football and was a former member of the Southport Volunteer Fire Department. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends who loved him so much. He was predeceased by his mother, Barbara Sabo Ackley and his paternal grandparents, Harry W. and Rita Neupert Ackley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. meeting directly at St. Pius X Church 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield.
