At her core our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister was unwavering kind, loving, generous and gracious. She taught her children to love in the same way and to stand for the underdog. She earned the title "world's public defender" because she always encouraged us to see the other point of view and thus cultivated empathy. She was nurturing, protective and proud of us. She created an unbreakable bond of family and close friends. Family always came first. We lovingly called her Honey. A nickname that was appropriate for her demeanor and widely adopted by those who knew her. She didn't want to leave us but she fought an insurmountable battle with great strength and courage. We will forever be grateful that during that battle we had the opportunity to be by her side every single hour of every day and night. A day didn't pass without her knowing how much she was loved. While the pain is unbearable we are comforted by knowing she is in the loving arms of Jesus and is in reunion with her loved ones, including her beloved cats and dogs.
Gary, her husband of 56 years, daughters Tammie, Amy and Jennifer, sons-in-law Vince, Aleksandar and Frederic, granddaughters Madeline, Whitney, Annie and grand son in law Brandon, grandsons Oliver, Zach, Nico and Benjamin and brother Rick all wait patiently to be with her again.
A Celebration of Life will be forthcoming.
