Cassandra "Cassie" Mary Snow Henry, 68, of Denton, Texas passed away at her home, surrounded by her loved ones, on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Cassie fought so hard to overcome complications and health issues arising from her yearlong multiple myeloma battle. She was also a 26 year breast cancer warrior and survivor.

She was born in San Antonio, Texas on May 23, 1953 to Lloyd and Neysa "Robbie" Snow. She attended schools in San Antonio and Houston then went on to attain her bachelor's degree from Texas Woman's University in Denton, TX. Although Cassie loved working with her colleagues in the rehab department of Texas Health Resources Denton, her favorite role was that of Grammie!

Cassie met Don Henry by chance on the Texas Woman's University campus and the pair went on to marry in Houston, Texas in May of 1974. The union was blessed with two daughters, Jennifer and Melissa. The couple spent their time gardening, cooking, and hosting family dinner & game nights.

Cassie enjoyed baking for her family, friends and colleagues; it was her love language. She was an avid reader and had a passion for native plants, pollinator gardening and bird watching, especially hummingbirds and cardinals! Cassie also enjoyed spending time with her BFF & sister of choice, Debbie Piercefield, whom she met over 51 years ago in the registration line on their first day at TWU.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Robbie Snow and her brother, Tom Snow.

Cassandra is survived by her husband, Donald Henry of Denton, daughters, Jennifer Henry Sayre and husband, Will of Moorpark, CA and Melissa Henry Cooper and husband, Chris of Denton and five grandsons Evan Sayre, Cade Cooper, Jack Sayre, Cameron Cooper and Grant Sayre that she loved to spoil (she was the best Grammie!!). She also leaves behind her sisters, Shannon Snow and Megan Snow and brother, Shawn Snow.

We will greatly miss her sarcastic and twisted sense of humor.

The family will hold a private gathering in her honor at a later date.
