Ray Gene Brock, 78, of Gilbert, AZ passed away peacefully on December 21, 2014 in Gilbert. Ray was born to Raymond and Geneva Brock in East Chicago, IN. He was raised in Monee, Illinois, where he excelled in football in his high school years and received a football scholarship to Cornell College in Iowa. Ray and his family moved to Phoenix Arizona in 1960 where he started his career as a body man at Berge Ford. Ray went on to work as an award winning salesman for Bowman Distribution until his retirement in 1996. He had many passions, including go-karts, boating, skiing, riding his sand rail and ATV in the dunes, NASCAR, and watching his favorite football team, the AZ Cardinals. Ray and his wife Carol enjoyed spending much of their vacation time on the beach in Rocky Point. They also enjoyed taking their RV on long scenic drives along the California coast. Ray was a wonderful father, husband and friend. He was loved by many. He always had a smile on his face and loved to make people laugh.

Grandchildren Brendan Brock and Zachery Jensen. Great-Granddaughter Ava Wong. Niece Beth (Howard) Odum, nephews Boyd Zude and Benjamin Brock Brooks. We also want to "Thank" Dr. Clayton Polowy and his staff for the respectful and compassionate care they gave to Ray during his illness. And our many "Thanks" go out to Hospice of the Valley, who also treated Ray with dignity and respect. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 9, 2015 at Falconer Funeral Home, 251 W. Juniper Ave. Gilbert, AZ.
