She served her church, First Assembly of God as Sunday school teacher and Youth department leader. She also was a part of the Women's Ministries group and helped wherever there was a need, especially with meals or sewing garments for children. Before retirement, she worked at the Jack County Hospital, Concerned Citizens Center, and did babysitting for many families of her community. Her favorite "job" was driving a snow cone truck around town. Her passions were cooking/baking, planting in her flower garden, sewing for others and being with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sister, Madeline, her brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Ola Mae Nunley; a granddaughter, Mitzi Clayton Janway, a grandson-in-law, Bryan Hicks, 2 nephews, Gary Glover and Paul Nunley and a brother-in-law, Harold Glover.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen (Richard) Cleghorn, of Jacksboro, and Clarissa (Mickey) Clayton, of Sulphur Springs, TX, her son, Llewellyn King, of Midlothian, TX, 6 grandchildren: Shanna (J.D.) Pritchett, Shane (Melissa) Cleghorn, Mindy Hicks, Joshua (Maddie) King, Jessica Richards, and Jerrod (Raoaa) King, 9 great-grandchildren: Katelyn, Kaymbrey and Keegan Pritchett, Breeanna and Brennen Hicks, Conner and Carsen Cleghorn, Kayley and Kody Richards, her sister, Maurine Glover, and several nieces and nephews.
