Aviana Rose Delisle, age eight, of Lower Sackville, died suddenly at her home on July 24, 2020. Aviana was a child wise beyond her years. She was surrounded by and exuded love and happiness. Her biggest pride in life was being a big sister to her little brother Arlo. It was Aviana who chose his name. Where it came from, only she will know. Aviana was always full of surprises.
Family and traditions were everything to her. Family time, enjoying a meal together, watching a movie cuddled up on the couch, or taking part in outdoor adventures, it was these moments that were invaluable to her life and made up her cherished memories. Aviana was an avid Youtube viewer and toy collector. She loved painting everything and anything she could get her hands on. As well she made many hand stitched dresses for her dolls. Aviana was musically gifted and had even started writing songs. During her quiet times alone one would very often hear her humming and singing away to herself.
Her early years were spent in the North end of Halifax. Wherever she went whether it was a new a school or at Grandma's in Westville she was continually making many friends and lifelong connections. In the last year of her life she fulfilled many of her childhood dreams. The year was started by moving into her family home in Lower Sackville. Here she quickly began making many joyful memories and friends in the community. Her spunky personality touched everybody that she met.
Her career ambition was to join the RCMP. She was strong willed, determined and had everyone's best interests at heart.
To our friends and family who have been so supportive and there for us, thank you. To the entire team at REWS Development, words will never truly express our gratitude and appreciation, thank you. A very big thank you goes to Janet Barnard at TK Barnard Funeral Home for her kindness and expert assistance during this difficult time. To 4 Seasons Florists Shelly, and owner Laura (and little Jake) thank you for staying late and introducing yourselves. Finally, to the members of the RCMP (Lower Sackville), HRFE, EHS, and the staff at the IWK we wish to thank each of you from the bottom of our hearts. The strength, commitment, and efforts shown were outstanding. Thank you for answering the call that evening.
Aviana will be always loved and remembered by her family and friends. She always was, and will be a true influencer.
