Mr. Thomas Wylie "Tommy" Vickers, Jr., 60 of Hoboken, passed away Sunday evening, March 13, 2022, at his residence.

Born in Blackshear, GA on October 23, 1961, he had lived in St. Marys for several years before moving to Brantley County in 1996. Mr. Vickers was a 1979 graduate of Camden County High School and went on to obtain his Electrician Certificate from the Florida Junior College. He went to work with Gilman in St. Marys until they sold out. Mr. Vickers then obtained his crane operator license and went to work for IUOE Local 474 and worked until his health began to fail. He loved being on the farm, tending to his chickens, and visiting with friends and family. Mr. Vickers was the proud Poppie of his granddaughter, Elizabeth Grace Lee, and thought she hung the moon. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

He was the son of the late Thomas Wylie Vickers, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shelia Pearson Vickers, who preceded him in death by two months.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Erin & Josh Lee and Ana Vickers all of Hoboken; his mother, Carolyn A. Hunter Harper of Brookman, GA; his granddaughter, Elizabeth Grace Lee; and several other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Mr. Vickers will be held Friday afternoon, March 18, 2022, at 2:00 o'clock from the High Bluff Cemetery.

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6-8.
