Obituary
Cumberland, MD – Cynthia Anne Lewis peacefully passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022, at UPMC Western Maryland, with family by her side.

Cindy was born in Cumberland, MD, on February 11, 1951, to Alma L. (Davy) Lewis and the late Andrew M. Lewis, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Terrance "Terry" A. Lewis.

Surviving are her cherished son, Ryan T. Lewis and wife Shannon. Cindy's grandchildren brought a smile to her face and joy to her heart. They were always the "stars" of their sporting events and dance reviews: Alexandria Moran, Liam Moran, Ava Lewis, Mila Lewis, and Rory Lewis. In addition, she is survived by her sisters, Cheryl L. Sherman and husband Gary, and Robin A. Lewis; her brother, Davy J. Lewis and wife Michelle. Her nephews and nieces dearly loved her: Garett Sherman (Ayoola), Aaron Sherman (Kristin), Susan Lewis, Heather Purcell (Keith), Adria Lewis (Nicole), and Andrew Lewis.

Cindy graduated from Fort Hill High School in 1969, and was a member of the 1st Fort Hill Sentinelette drill team. She was very active in the FH Pep Club. She was a diehard Fort Hill Fan. She was retired from AT&T and served as Treasurer of the Communication Workers of America, CWA Local 2109.

Cindy treasured her "Golden Friends," Nancy Lambert and Judy (Foltz) Robinson. They had many fun years and were so very kind in her hours of need. Cindy is looking down on us with her dear friend, Cindi Crites.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, on Saturday March 5, 2022, 2pm – 3pm. Her funeral services will immediately follow at 3pm.
Interment will be at Hillcrest Burial Park.
