Obituary from utahvalleyfuneral.com:

Janice Openshaw McMillan passed away at home on December 17, 2021 at the age of 94 of causes incident to age, following a long and healthy life.

Janice was born April 25, 1927 in Santaquin, Utah to Herbert Nathanial Openshaw and Ruby Learetta Crook. Her beloved mother passed away before Janice's third birthday, and she felt this loss all her life. She lived in Santaquin until she was ten years old, when her family moved to Salt Lake City, where her father had more employment opportunities during the Depression. Janice survived a bout with encephalitis as a teenager, which caused her to miss much of one year of high school. She was a graduate of South High School.

Janice married Andrew Deloy McMillan on March 28, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were blessed with six children: Mary Learetta, James Andrew, Randy, Ronny, Peggy Ann and Becky Lee. They later divorced.

Through much of her adult life she was employed outside the home, where she was a dedicated and hard-working employee. For many years, she worked as a supervisor at the Salt Lake Credit Bureau, where she helped oversee the conversion of their records to a computerized system. Her last assignment before retirement was working in the office of the Quorum of 12 Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She was a lifelong active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in a number of different assignments, including a number of years as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple and four years as a service missionary in the Church History Department.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters - Herbert LaVaughn Openshaw, Thelma Elsie Openshaw, Helen Elizabeth Robinson, J. Alma Openshaw, and Maynard Karl Openshaw, children - Randy McMillan, Ronny McMillan, Peggy Richards, and Learetta Long - and son-in-law Scott Gottschall. She is survived by children: Drew (Beth) McMillan and Becky Gottschall, son-in-law Lynn (Dawn) Richards, 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

At Janice's request, there will be no funeral service. Graveside services and burial will be at the Santaquin Utah City Cemetery on December 22, 2021.
