88 of Beaver Bank. It is with heavy hearts that we say farewell to our mother, who passed away March 13, 2022 at the QE II HSC VG Site with family at her side. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Phenie (Bilben) Cullen. Hilda was a graduate (with honors) of Miss Murphy's Business College. She worked at Statistics Canada for many years, and was very active in her community, helping to raise funds for education by putting on plays in various schools around Metro, and raising funds for the Cobequid Community Health Centre. She was a devoted wife, and loving mother and grandmother. She will be fondly remembered for her homemade bread and hot chocolate. She enjoyed cruising the highways of Atlantic Canada with her husband Joseph on their Goldwing motorcycle and enjoyed travelling with family. Hilda helped to care for her aging mother and supported her family with love.
Survived by, daughters, Linda Marie Doherty, Diana Louise Doherty; sons, Joseph Edward Jr. (Moira Keenan) Doherty, Terence Michael, (Monte Wood) Doherty, Daniel Francis Doherty, Robert Charles (Linda Pratt) Doherty; several grandchildren, great grandchildren; Denise (Eric) Patrick; nieces and nephews
