Nancy Dickerman Watson went home to be with her Lord Jesus on March 13, 2022 at age 72.
Nancy was born to John Melville Dickerman and Helen Kanney Dickerman on November 16, 1949 in Massachusetts. Nancy grew up primarily in Wilson, NC where she attended Saint Therese Elementary School and Fike High School.
Nancy met her husband William Casper Watson in 1969. They married October 17, 1970 and went on to have one child, Sharon Bottoms. The family settled in Zebulon, NC where Nancy worked at Devil Dog for many years along with her husband, Casper.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Nancy also loved bird watching, antique shopping, cooking, gardening and church. Throughout her entire life, she grew in her faith, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Nancy was a lot of fun and laughed often. However, she could get quite serious when giving advice you needed to hear. Her advice was always helpful and seemed to be a wonderful gift she exercised for the benefit of all she knew.
Nancy joins Casper Watson her husband, Helen Dickerman her mother, John Dickerman her father in Heaven. She is survived by daughter Sharon Bottoms, grandchildren Travis Carnley and Marshall Carnley, great-grandchild Reese Dewayne Carnley, brother Larry Dickerman, sisters Kathy Blankenship and Mary Martinez.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
A future family memorial will be planned to honor Nancy at a time yet to be determined.
The family hopes God brings blessing and comfort as you read Psalm 46 with Nancy in mind.
